Meyer et al—Herbal Therapy in Heart Failure Renee Meyer, MD, is an assistant professor of general internal medicine and geriatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Charleston. She is medical director of hospital-based primary care at the affiliated Veterans Administration (VA) hospital and has a private practice for general medicine and natural remedies. She has authored/coauthored six published articles relating to geriatrics and homebound care. Jody Ciolino, MS, is completing her doctoral degree in biostatistics at MUSC. Terrence X. O’Brien, MD, MS, FACC, is a professor of medicine/cardiology at MUSC and Director of Cardiology Research at both MUSC and VA. He has received over 20 principal investigator grants and has authored 46 peer-reviewed articles.
